The Greater Las Vegas Single’s Ministry is passionate about making a difference in this city and we need your help. Our Single’s Ministry is going to make a difference by serving those in need, wither they are in the church or the community.  We hope the singles we invite, serve, and build friendships with will see we are not another Sunday experience church but a body of believers who live out our faith.  We want our single’s ministry to shine like the bright stars of the night! “Our Father” will be our example.

Currently, the Las Vegas Singles’ Ministry has twenty one disciples… not impossible to reach out to all the singles here, but some help would be a blessing from heaven.

Starting November 5th through 8th, the International Church of Christ in Lima, Peru will be hosting a Latin American Singles Conference entitled, “Puro Corazon” (With All the Heart).  The title theme breaks down into two main thoughts:

1)  Answering the call to love our God with all our heart

2)  Always searching  / growing to maintain a pure heart in all areas of our lives

The conference will start with a historic tour of Lima & Miraflores on Thursday and will later include Olympic Games – concluding with a Party / Dance (where everyone dresses in white clothing).

My name is Marques Johnson. I am a single leader in the Hampton Roads Church in Virginia Beach Va. I have been promoting a dream for singles in the ACR family of churches to be the catalyst to replant a church in Charleston WV, there are currently no ICOC church’s in the state of WV. I began back in July by sending a message to a dozen singles about a day of prayer and fasting for WV. About 12 people joined in on this fast. Most recently 18 single disciples from the Hampton Roads church traveled 6 1/2 hours to Charleston West Virginia where we hosted a singles led Sunday service on the steps of the state capital building. Twenty nine people in all attended. All 7 members of the Lexington, Kentucky singles drove 3 hours to join us. Members of the Roanoke Valley singles also attended. We viewed this as a faithful step towards singles making a huge impact on the mission as well as sparking our church’s to start more church plantings.  To God be the Glory!

Southwest Singles Conference

July 30 – August 2, 2009

 
There was a buzz in the hot desert air as over 1,000 single disciples from the Southwest and many other parts of the United States, Canada, Japan, Russia and Italy flocked to Rancho Mirage, California with a faith that the weekend would bring fun, fellowship, inspiration and an opportunity to dream and imagine all that God has in mind for His single sons and daughters. More Than Conquerors

When Debbie Banks decided to relocate to Austin, Texas in 2003, many feared that she was making a grave mistake. An outgoing, much loved Women’s Ministry Leader in the Boston Church of Christ, Debbie devoted her compassionate heart and soul into guiding its single women for many years. She also found joy in a dating relationship, which exhibited many of the right signs of a promising future. Dating a godly man was beyond any fairy tale she could imagine coming true. Prior to becoming a Christian, Debbie’s romantic selections were mandated by her chameleon nature, always changing to fit the crowd. When that didn’t work, manipulation was her second choice means of getting what she wanted. As a perennial “good girl” attracted to “bad boys,” she paid the handsome price of a repeatedly broken heart and decimated self-esteem.
