Join us for a memorable, spiritual and inspiring international singles conference August 12 to 15 in Manila, the Philippines.

In the coming weeks we’ll be posting more information both on the SOAR website (http://www.soar2010.net/) as well as right here at ICOC Singles Today on classes, HOPE volunteer opportunities, tips from singles around the globe on their plans and fundraising efforts to be in Manila and much more.

When you register between April 1^st and July 15^th, the Conference Registration Fee is USD 120.

Registering after July 15^th is only available on-site in Manila and the cost will be USD130.

Program

SOAR officially opens Thursday night August 12^th although there will be a special selection of classes and fellowship for Bible Talk Leaders Thursday afternoon from 2pm-6pm.

Friday there will be classes in the morning and afternoon with a Devotional for everyone at 4pm.  Saturday everyone will participate in HOPE Projects and Sunday we’ll join the Metro Manila church for the Sunday service. (More details can be found on the SOAR website.)

However, there’s a lot more you can take advantage of while in the Philippines.

• HOPE is offering a special, singles-only, HOPE Volunteer Corps program in Manila from August 4-12^th (details at http://www.hopeww.org/NetCommunity/Page.aspx?pid=857 )
• We’ve also arranged for 12 different tours you can sign up for when you register (for details click on the specific tours when you register):
  • Friday night there’s a nighttime tour of Manila including dinner
  • Sunday after church you can take a Manila City Tour or Museum Tour
  • Monday, August 16^th , there are multiple full day trips around Manila, or further afield to Tagaytay Ridge, Taal Volcano Island, Pagsanjan Falls, Hidden Valley Springs or even a full-day spa break
  • Tuesday, August 17^th you can sail to Corregidor

Registration Tips

From the homepage just click on the “online registration” box to start the simple 5-step registration process.  You will want to have the following information ready before commencing the registration process

-          Flight details

-          Name(s) of roommate(s)

-          Name and e-mail address of your church’s evangelist and two “references” (i.e. your discipling partner or roommate) as all attendees will be verified.

In the first section, you will input all your contact and flight details as well as have an opportunity to choose from multiple hotel packages in different price ranges.  If you will be staying with friends or relatives during the conference, please note their name and contact details in the section entitled “Do you know anyone in the Philippines”.  In addition, you can sign up for a variety of city tours in this first section.

Step 2 allows you to review all your information and make any necessary changes.

Step 3 starts the checkout procedure.

Step  4 is payment (by credit card or “PayEasy”).

Finally, Step 5 is the confirmation page (which will also be sent to you via email).
